Hare Krishna Prabhu Ji. Dandavats. Thanks for the article. I have one question. Just as you said, consciousness (which we can also say as attention, awareness, etc.) is absorbed in the activities of the mind.

Yes, I also realize how my attention is focused on external movies (happenings with the body—I got a BMW Car, I got to go to Iceland, He criticised and bet me) and internal movies (dreams, fantasies, thoughts, etc.). I see that the mind drags my attention, and I feel it difficult to pull it back. No matter how much I pull it back, the mind again imposes itself and makes it difficult, especially when feelings get associated with the thoughts.

Even being averse to it, fighting with the mind, or running away doesn’t help. They seem to be the other side of the same coin of attachment. How am I to distance myself—detach myself?

Sometimes I can act as an observer rather than getting absorbed. How to come to that state always. All I think being in Sattva would help very much with it but I am unable to stay in Sattva for long I think. Can you also guide me on how to come and maintain being in Sattva as well?

Thanks a lot, Prabhu Ji
