Srila Prabhupada comments that wars in our age are almost unavoidable since they come as a result of people killing animals. What should we do about it?
Hare Krishna Prabhu ji. Very nice article 🙏 but I just wanted to know from your perspective what about if we trained some vaishnavas as kshatriyas and there should be a good king , who stopped animal killing and all these unnecessary wars. Is it not the right path we should look forward to.
We would risk just becoming another jihadist group, with eroded moral values and spiritual practice. We don't have proper ksatriyas in our time. The only chance is to make people chant the holy names and change them by peaceful means
But Prabhu i have seen there are gurukuls in Mayapur and other places in India , where devotees are training small kids of becoming a kshatriya and at the same time giving all vedic knowledge. So is it ok right?
They are teaching them a little bit of martial arts and archery as part of their normal development, that's not ksatriya training; this is a misunderstanding.
Ohh ok Prabhu thank you. Prabhu i am very inquisitive to understand how a person can identify their varna , in the present age that what kind of work suits him the most according to his varna but before that he needs to know his varna? How we can do that . If you guide me or make an article that will be very helpful. Thank you prabhu 🙏
Prabhu, what about if a devotee dies in battle that came of its own. Like he didnt instigate it, will he go to a heavenly planet where he can continue his sadhana ?
You mean in self-defense? It's not sinful to fight or kill in self-defense; if one dies in this situation, one will just continue on his path, according to his or her past activities.
Ok what about Bhagavad Gita Chapter 2, Verse 32: where Sri Krishna states that the gates of heaven are opened for the fallen warriors for whom battle has come unsought
Prabhu, then with this logic, the brahmin initiated devotees in isckcon should discard their threads and the swamis should not be afforded any respect as we are all nothing but sudras fit for menial labour.
This type of pacifist mentality/interpretation has led to the decline of the Bharatiya civilization, masssacres of thousands of Vaishnavas and led to their dependance on others for protection.
We have a reformatory process for producing brahmanas, but not for ksatriyas. First of all, a qualified ksatriya would have to appear to teach the others. When you see someone like king Pariksit walking around, then it can be discussed

This is for Ksatriyas, it doesn't apply to practically anyone today.
