Some news about the site and where we are going
Today we completed 80 days of the existence of this website, so I taught it would be a good opportunity to write something about what we are doing and where we are going.
Today we completed 80 days of the existence of this website, so I thought it would be a good opportunity to write something about what we are doing and where we are going.
I started this website mainly as a way to share the books I'm writing explaining the philosophy of Krsna Consciousness and different scriptures according to the conclusions of Srila Prabhupada, as well as sharing articles and other writings. I had a website on WordPress before, but this platform on Substack, where we are hosted now offers much better resources. Last month we received 40,000 pageviews, and we are close to 1,000 subscribers on the e-mail list, which is very inspiring. Pages on spiritual topics don't rank very well on Google, so we depend on finding interested readers who regularly access the site or subscribe and share it to reach a public.
Last week I just finished publishing my old book, concluding with the book on the Vedic Universe, and I will start now publishing the three new books I wrote during this last year, starting with the translation and commentary on the Taittiriya Upanisad (the same we previously had a course on). These books are all organized in the section "My books" on the top.
I have also several older articles that I'm updating and publishing little by little. They are organized by topic.
You can follow everything by just accessing the website regularly, but many find it more convenient to subscribe to the e-mail list (you probably noticed the forms in the articles🙃) and just receive the posts directly in their inboxes. I also post something on Facebook, etc. but I'm focusing more here.
If you think emails are old-fashioned, there is also the option of installing the Substack App, which is available for both Android and iPhone. On the app, you can subscribe to the site and set up notifications and all kinds of other functions. There is also the option of listening to the articles instead of reading them (you just need to click on the "play" button at the top of the screen when you open any article inside the app). This is of course a robotic voice, but it does quite a good job of reading my texts. It even gets most of the Sanskrit terms correctly! Here is the link to install the app, in case you are interested (only if you are accessing on the phone):
This e-mail list is maintained by the Substack platform, which is considered honest and reliable. If at some point you desire to unsubscribe, you can just use the link at the end of the e-mails. Just unmark everything in the following screen and you are done. Please don't mark the e-mails as spam, etc. because this hurts the delivery of the other e-mails.
We have also two online courses going on, one in the Srimad Bhagavatam, and another on Vedanta Philosophy from the Vaishnava perspective. You can find the past modules as well as the ongoing ones in the "Complete courses" section. If you would like to attend the live meetings, you can join the Telegram channels using the links on the lessons. If you use iTunes, Spotify, Pocket Casts, or any other podcast app, you can also listen to the lessons there by searching for "Mysteries of the Vedas".
I'm currently a retired person living in Sri Dham Mayapur, so I have now time to dedicate myself to writing and teaching. Here are some plans for the future. If you keep following us, you will see this being published through the next months and years:
a) Finish the study of the 12 cantos of the Srimad Bhagavatam (we are currently entering into the 4th canto) and publish a number of books elaborating on different topics explained there (I'm currently working on a book on the Sankhya philosophy of Lord Kapila, for example).
b) I'm currently working on an in-depth explanation of the Bhagavad-gita, which I will start publishing in the next months as a course. If you are around you can study it and become a great scholar on the Gita :)
c) There is an ongoing project on translating and commenting on the 11 principal Upanisads, as well as writing a detailed explanation on the Govinda Bhasya (the commentary on the Vedanta Sutras of Srila Baladeva Vidyabhusana) which form the foundations of Vaishnava Philosophy. We are seeing some of this material in the ongoing course on Vaishnava Vedanta, but over time we will have also books.
d) There are also shorter articles on spiritual practice and other topics always coming, just like we had up to now.
What do you think?
My humble appreciation for your outstanding work to deepen our understanding on sublime spiritual topics. Your presentation style is indeed commendable as it simplifies complex spiritual truths, making it easily understandable to people like me. Very relevant indeed.
Thank you, Prabhu
I have subscribed by paying yearly subscription but I still get message subcribe, I do not see any chages in my access. Please advise.
