There is a passage on the second canto of Bhagavatam where Sukadeva Goswami recommends worship of demigods and even demons for satisfying material desires. How is that?
Hare Krishna Prabhu, we see that many people throughout the world don't worship the demigods or God, yet still get good children, good fortune etc, but currently in India where the majority of people worship the demigods there is many material problems. Is this just due to past life karma, and if so it seems to indicate karma mimamsa as an explanation over worshiping the devas. (I understand this is not relevant for devotees of Krishna but still it can be confusing seeing all the demigod worship without it seeming to have positive material outcomes).Can you please explain? 🙏
Worship of demigods is not very effective in the age we live in, because we can't do the ceremonies properly. Usually, people just do some sentimental thing, which is not according to the prescriptions. The only thing that is effective is devotion to God, be it as a Vaishnava, or even as a Christian or Muslim.
This can explain why many parts of the world became more opulent than in India, because over the centuries, in India, most people were worshiping demigods, or were impersonalists, while in other places, Christianity or Islam were more common. As religious systems, both are superior to both demigod worship and impersonalism.
In terms of children, the two main factors are the general qualities of the parents and their relationship. Usually, couples who have good personal qualities anda good relationship have good children, even if they are not devotees. While couples who are more tamasic and have convoluted relationships tend to have children of the same unstable nature. Even if one is a devotee, this doesn't necessarily changes it.
Prabhji help me to understand that how Sachita Karma get desolved. Is it tru that just by saying name of lord Kerisna or Narayana all Karma desoves? How this happens? Hare krishna.
