Chapter 07: The suffering of a new birth
Life in the material world is a brief interval between birth and death. Certainly, death is a painful experience, but we often fail to consider that birth is also filled with suffering. The price for pursuing satisfaction in this material world is a new birth, which is followed by death, which leads to a new birth, in a perpetual cycle.
Sometimes, a pious soul comes to realize the futility of such an endless endeavor and sincerely prays to the Lord while still inside the womb. Different from an ordinary materialist who just struggles with the results of his past actions, such an enlightened soul is personally taken care of by the Lord, who ensures this is his last birth.
