Don't fall behind!
Our study of the Gītā is already progressing through chapter two. If you are still not following the course, this is a good opportunity to start, while we are still at the beginning.
Our study of the Gītā is already progressing through chapter two. If you are still not following the course, this is a good opportunity to start, while we are still at the beginning.
By studying the lessons as they are published, you can build a complete understanding of the Bhagavad-gītā from beginning to end, without having to absorb everything at once. By the end of the course, you will have gained a clear understanding of the Gītā, comparable to, and in some areas more detailed than that offered by a standard Bhakti-śāstrī course.
For now, most lessons are being studied in a single day, but when we reach more complex topics, we will start spending two or three days on each lesson. The purpose is not to rush through the Gītā, but to understand how every argument develops and how each teaching connects with what came before.
Here is what is already online:
+ Introduction: The conclusions of the Bhagavad-gītā
+ CHAPTER ONE: Observing the armies on the battlefield of Kurukṣetra (Arjuna-viṣāda yoga)
Signs of victory: the sounding of the conchshells (Bg 1.12 to 1.19)
Arjuna sees the armies, and his heart shatters (Bg 1.24 to 1.27)
+ CHAPTER TWO: Contents of the Gītā Summarized (Sānkhya-yoga)
